Built as a field guide, not a legal conclusion engine.

ITAR Field Guide is designed to make the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, U.S. Munitions List, and DDTC public guidance faster to navigate without replacing the underlying authority. The app organizes regulatory material and professional research tools while preserving direct access to authoritative sources.

What it does

Browse ITAR and USML

Navigate 22 CFR Parts 120–130 and the U.S. Munitions List in a mobile-first reference interface.

Search locally

Use fast on-device full-text search with scope filters designed for regulatory research.

Save and return

Bookmarks and viewing history remain on the device for quick access to frequently used material.

Research with context

Copy citations, share references, follow official-source links, and distinguish current, upcoming, and historical content states.

Regulatory-content model

The application uses a local regulatory repository and an authoritative-source update workflow. Validated regulatory text can remain available offline after synchronization, while source, version, hash, and verification metadata support traceability. Update failures are designed not to overwrite the previous validated dataset.

Primary authoritative sources

Official source gateways verified October 1, 2026. The eCFR is continuously updated and identifies itself as an unofficial online edition of the CFR.

Privacy by design

The current Android product does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, cloud AI, location access, contacts access, or user-activity telemetry. Bookmarks and viewing history are stored locally on the device.

Important: ITAR Field Guide is a reference and productivity tool. It does not provide legal advice or definitive determinations about classification, licensing, exemptions, exceptions, sanctions, admissibility, or transaction compliance.
